Following on from a recent completed project BSAP were appointed by MHBC to undertake a project review of the Erskine House project for the proposed Yotel hotel in Edinburgh. The project is a redevelopment of an existing commercial development with retail tenants on the ground floor with in Edinburgh. The scheme is a new venture following the JV with Starwood group and is a 277bed 3* hotel facility.

The scheme is over the anticipated cost appraisal and requires an alternative VFM solution to be implemented to ensure the project can proceed. Part of the exercise was also to evaluate the proposed design in respect to the Employers brief document and schedule any gaps incl any cost implications. BSAP reviewed the design and scope and then market tested the VFM options to ensure that the options could be taken forward. The project has meet the cost targets set and is currently being constructed.
