Following engagement through a repeat business PM organisation this high bay warehouse project BSAP were commissioned to support the tender process and evaluate the current tender design, which included a Value for Money (VFM) engineered alternative tender submission which will support the civil/construction contractor win this project.
This project was based on a current National and International FMCG company’s site and was to support the growth in its UK market share. The facility had a large infrastructure bias and needed the support of a new HV distribution network along with the primary service installation for specialist’s services such as Sprinklers, CCTV and LV distribution along with specialist lighting installation to the warehouse and surrounding area and ancillary buildings.
The tender process included a large fit out contract and integration of the site wide services along with the value assessment of New Refurbishment of existing services.
The project is predominantly a Civil’s based contract however the M&E value is significant and it is therefore a key factor in the success of the bid. BSAP were able to interrogate the HV proposal and complete gaps to offer alternative VFM that was incorporated, a significant element of the works related to the sprinkler installation and a refurbishment solution was developed to mitigate the need for a full new primary pump installation and associated works with a refurbishment solution that saved significant monies yet still fulfilled the LEPC insurance requirements and was fully warrantied.
