BSAP were appointed by the Joint Venture Partnership of Campus Living Villages, Equitix and Interserve to produce a design concept for the new Student Accommodation Campus at Durham University. The project is valued at circa £75M and is let under a 50year PPP and therefore evaluating both the capital cost, running cost and service cost of any proposed solution was fundamental to the viability of the bid.

BSAP have produced a number of energy and services models of the residences that evaluate not only how the building operates within the constraints of energy and facilities costs but also how this effects the student experience. This evaluation process (including a NPV assessment) allowed the JV to select the most advantageous energy solution for the project and contribute to a successful bid to Durham University.

BSAP have been appointed by ICL to have a watching brief during the detailed design and construction process to ensure key cost and quality elements are maintained through to handover.
